Ms. Lynnette Yount

Ms. Lynnette Yount specializes in executive coaching, leadership development, organizational development and strategic planning.  She is the President and founder of Lynnette Yount Associates, Inc. (LYA), a woman-owned small business providing coaching, consultation, training and facilitation services.  Ms. Yount has practiced for over 30 years in the public sector, helping non-profits, local and Federal government, and faith-based organizations to become more effective, and individual managers and executives to become great leaders.  LYA is proud to be one of the small businesses on the GSA Federal Supply MOBIS Schedule.  Lynnette was the coach winner of the local ICF PRISM Award for her work with Arlington County leader development.

Lynnette has spent the last several years committed to developing public leaders – providing executive coaching, team building, partnership building, strategic planning, and organizational renewal. Highlights of her coaching career include:

  • Developed coach cadre and coach orientation program for the Center for Emotional Intelligence and Human Relations Skills (US/Canadian non-profit organization committed to developing faith community leaders);
  •  Served on Board of the Center for Emotional Intelligence and Human Relations Skills (EQHR Center)
  • Provided follow-up coaching support for EQHR Center participants
  • Delivered coaching services and Board team building events for various associations
  • Developed one of the first structured executive coaching programs for government called The Federal Leader, successfully piloted and implemented in US Department of Education in 1997
  • Provided coaching, coach cadre, and program management services for several Federal agencies including leader candidates and newly appointed senior SES leaders:  FMS (Treasury), FAA, DHS, FTC.
  • Awarded “Master Certified Coach” (MCC) by the ICF, a designation indicating 2500 hours of coaching, 2004
  • Provided coaching and coach cadre for Leaders Challenge development cohort program for Arlington County, and designed and presented workshops including somatic coaching for Mid-Level Management development cohort program.
  • Awarded the 2011 local ICF chapter’s PRISM award for Coaching Excellence in Organizations with Arlington County

Ms. Yount is trained in ontological (holistic) coaching and is an Ontological Certified Coach (OCC) from the Newfield Network, USA, completing their certificate program in Coaching and Organization Learning in partnership with the George Mason University in 2000. She has continued to study with Newfield, and has completed a 3-year advanced program, Coaching Excellence in Organizations.  Lynnette holds a BA in psychology from Goddard College and certificates (Master’s equivalents) in Applied Behavioral Science, and Organization Development.
